It has come to pass. The Brooklyn Bacon Takedown is happening Sunday March 29 at 5PM. At Radegast Hall & Beer Garden in Williamsburg – 113 N 3rd St. off the Bedford Ave L Stop. It will be super amazing. We are looking for bacon-based recipes. Yes, BACON RECIPES. COMPETING HEAD-TO-HEAD. Bacon could be the main ingredient. Or there could be a hint of bacon. The main thing is, it must be totally delicious. A bacon chili. A bacon pasta. A bacon cobbler, perhaps. Or something none of us could ever have anticipated. Just make sure you make enough for the deluge of fans who will undoubtedly arrive to judge you.
Your recipes will compete, head to head. The throngs will come on down, and taste your creations, and vote on the winner. Like Patton or Henry V before the battle- I tremble, thinking of the carnage to be. YOU MUST EMAIL ME TO ENTER!

Takedowners!!! 30 contestants will be fighting to the death this Sunday Feb 8th!!! That is all that Union Pool can fit!!! Unfortunately, I have to start the ugly business of turning away contestants. These winter events have to take place indoors, so space is limited!!
The Takedown entries are coming down to the wire!!! There is limited space, and this Takedown promises to be the biggest ever!!! Union Pool can only fit 30 entries, so soon I will be forced to turn entrants away!!! It’s not that the takedown is getting too big for its britches, its just that I rule so bad, tons of people have signed up early, in a mad rush (because the takedown rules so bad).
